About This Course

Welcome to this foundation course on Sustainable Aviation Fuel, or SAF, certificates and book-and-claim. Aviation decarbonisation can appear complicated because several different concepts are often discussed together. There is the physical fuel itself. There is the lifecycle greenhouse-gas benefit associated with that fuel. There are sustainability certifications and registries. There may be certificates representing environmental attributes. There are regulatory frameworks such as CORSIA. And finally, there are commercial structures through which airlines, corporates, fuel suppliers and other market participants buy, sell, allocate or claim SAF-related value.
