About This Course

FTP is one of the most important internal mechanisms used by banks to understand profitability, price products, manage liquidity, and transfer interest rate risk across the organization. At a simple level, FTP helps answer a very important question: What is the true economic cost or value of funds used by different businesses within the bank? A lending business uses funds to originate loans. A deposit business provides funds to the bank. Treasury sits in the middle and manages the overall balance sheet, liquidity position and interest rate risk. FTP is the internal pricing framework that connects these activities. Over this training, we will move from fundamentals to practical implementation. We will cover how FTP works, how transfer rates are assigned, how curves are built, how different products are treated, and how FTP supports business decision-making. By the end of this program, you should be able to understand FTP logic, interpret FTP outputs, and participate confidently in discussions with treasury, finance, risk and business teams.
